COMMON QUESTIONS
PixelSmithery Help FAQ
Are my images uploaded to PixelSmithery?
No. Current PixelSmithery image processing and analysis tools are designed to run locally in your browser. Your selected images stay on your device rather than being uploaded to PixelSmithery for processing.
Which image formats are currently supported?
PixelSmithery’s current conversion tools support HEIC, HEIF, PNG, JPG/JPEG and WebP images. Depending on the selected tool, you can convert HEIC or HEIF to JPG or PNG, PNG to JPG, JPG or PNG to WebP, and WebP to JPG or PNG.
Can I process multiple images at once?
Yes. Current PixelSmithery converters support batch processing for multiple supported images.
Why can a converted image be larger than the original?
File size depends on the source image, output format and selected quality. Try lowering the quality setting if reducing file size is important.
Can I use PixelSmithery on a phone or tablet?
Yes. PixelSmithery works in modern browsers, although available memory, screen size and device performance can affect larger image-processing tasks.
What should I do if a tool stops responding?
Remove the current files and try again. If necessary, reload the page and process a smaller batch.
What is the PixelSmithery AI Image Checker?
The PixelSmithery AI Image Checker examines available provenance information, Content Credentials, C2PA structures, image metadata and file information. It can also optionally analyze visual patterns using a local AI model running in your browser. The results provide technical signals and probability-based analysis rather than absolute proof that an image was created by AI.
Does PixelSmithery require an account or software installation?
No. PixelSmithery tools are designed to work directly in a modern web browser without requiring an account or separate desktop software. Open the tool you need, add a supported image and follow the available controls. Processing capabilities may vary depending on the browser, device memory and the size or number of images being processed.
