PixelSmithery currently includes a PNG to JPG Converter, JPG & PNG to WebP Converter, WebP to JPG/PNG Converter, HEIC to JPG & PNG Converter and AI Image Checker. Each tool is designed to run directly in your browser with a simple, focused workflow.
Are PixelSmithery image tools free to use?
Yes. The currently available PixelSmithery tools are free to use. They do not require an account or a per-image processing fee.
Are my images uploaded to PixelSmithery?
No. Current PixelSmithery image processing and analysis are designed to run locally in your browser. Your selected images stay on your device rather than being uploaded to PixelSmithery for processing.
Which image formats does PixelSmithery support?
The current conversion tools support HEIC, HEIF, PNG, JPG/JPEG and WebP images. Depending on the selected tool, you can convert HEIC or HEIF to JPG or PNG, PNG to JPG, JPG or PNG to WebP, and WebP to JPG or PNG.
Can I process multiple images at once?
Yes. PixelSmithery conversion tools support batch workflows within their built-in browser safety limits, allowing you to process multiple supported images in a single session.
What is the PixelSmithery AI Image Checker?
The AI Image Checker inspects supported provenance information, Content Credentials, C2PA structures, image metadata and file information. It can also optionally analyze visual patterns with a local AI model running in the browser.
Can the AI Image Checker prove that an image was created by AI?
No single detection method can provide absolute proof in every case. PixelSmithery separates stronger technical provenance evidence from probabilistic visual AI analysis and shows which signals were actually detected.
Why does PixelSmithery process images in the browser?
Browser-based processing keeps the workflow fast and private while reducing unnecessary file uploads. It also allows many conversion and inspection tasks to be performed directly on your device.
